Let those you love be your compass

So today I had lunch at one of my professors houses... yes, my professor, for some this is strange, being friends with your teacher that is but if your BIZ COMM student at Stevenson- you understand. Anyways we had a meeting about the upcoming school year and our Dynamic PR club. As we were chatting and eating lunch and sharing stories of our summer, I realized that God puts certain people in your life that reflect something about yourself. As my teacher shared a story of her life with us, I was playing out a similar situation in my life. As the other girl shared a story in her life, I was playing out a similar situation in my life. You see, its those moments and those people that you least expect that help you grow.
In my last post, I talked about my ex and my break up. I told my professor about today and she said what I already knew she would say- enjoy every moment of your life and be thankful for him and be thankful that he is gone. She has been a major encouragement to me over the past four years and when I graduate I pray I can still call her and vent out my troubles and woes. And then I looked around the table and saw three girls that before last january I barely knew and now I feel like I could share my life with them. In each of them there is a strong and powerful woman, waiting to rule the world and that is encouraging, that in this perfectly imperfect life, there are other woman my age figuring it all out, just like me and they are doing it with poise and grace.

Well thats a little insight from me today ladies... find other woman that encourage you and build you, that push you to be better and that encourage you to find perfection in the imperfect moments that life hands us.
